Our Mission
ICON LNG’s mission is to convert electricity power generators and industrial process heating equipment throughout the Caribbean to dual-fuel using natural gas delivered as LNG in combination with existing diesel or heavy fuel oil. Spreading LNG use throughout the Caribbean will contribute to a cleaner and healthier climate and lower energy costs. Less costly energy will improve economic competitiveness and support new investment by businesses and governments alike. ICON’s industry proven dual fuel technology is the fastest and least costly way to incorporate clean burning LNG into existing power generation and industrial process heating equipment.
The Company
ICON LNG is a Trinidad based company dedicated to delivering liquefied natural gas to where it is needed. We are passionate about helping customers end their exclusive reliance on conventional petroleum products. With support from our LNG suppliers and technology partners we offer turnkey solutions that enable customers to upgrade their electricity generating equipment or process heating equipment to dual fuel (or bi-fuel) and then receive LNG deliveries to their doorstep on a reliable and timely basis.
ABOUT LNG: The Next Generation Fossil Fuel
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is the world’s fastest growing fuel. It is widely available, safe to transport, cleaner than all other fossil fuels and cost competitive when compared to refined petroleum products like diesel. LNG is natural gas in its frozen form (-160 Celsius). Comprised primarily of methane, when burned it emits virtually no particulate matter (PM) and significantly less carbon dioxide (CO2), sulphur oxide (SOx) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) than conventional petroleum products. Together these emissions contribute to the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the world’s atmosphere and are recognized as a leading cause of global warming, climate change and pollution induced respiratory issues.
